Poetry by : Abdul Kareem Mahjoob
There is a queer anguish growing
Beneath the depth of need
and behind
every hustle of endeavor
There is a lingering desire from behind the autumn leaves
Still far off the coast of our despair
Under the gloom of each day there comes
A broken shattered hope
That leans against the post of doubt
Little by little mistrust is blast
Among the walking people of day
Then there is a globe for thousands of love
but
Singing above the nocturnal har***ger
And within this particular night ,solemn promise and the devil there is nothing but despair
And the hanged wish
There is a queer anguish growing
Beneath the depth of need
and behind
every hustle of endeavor
There is a lingering desire from behind the autumn leaves
Still far off the coast of our despair
Under the gloom of each day there comes
A broken shattered hope
That leans against the post of doubt
Little by little mistrust is blast
Among the walking people of day
Then there is a globe for thousands of love
but
Singing above the nocturnal har***ger
And within this particular night ,solemn promise and the devil there is nothing but despair
And the hanged wish
